Where The Heart Left Off by Richie Frieman
This is my first time reading a book by Mr. Frieman and I was looking forward to reading a romance book by a man.  I feel a lot of the time they have a nice spin on them.
Having read the synopsis I had a hard time following the first two chapters for some reason.  I don't know if I just didn't make the disconnect in characters or if this part of the story would have been better explained later in the book and not beforehand.
There really wasn't much of a romance per-say, it's kind of hard for an elder couple in their eighties to have a romance and especially when ones still married.  Even if their spouse is in a coma.  (Sorry if that's a spoilers.).
To me the writer missed the mark.  The true romance story would had been between the grandchildren as a couple (of, course one of them is also married, but get serves with divorce papers) with the secondary story with the elderly couple and their story.
I did find it very interesting and well written, but it fell to hit the mark story wise therefore I give it 3 1/2 stars.
